Almost everyone knows that if you wear the right swimsuit, especially those that have the body shaping capability, you could look slimmer than those that do not suit you. Wearing the right swimsuit can make you look great and boost your confidence. When comes to choosing the right swimsuit, not many people really know how to choose ones that suit them.
Here are some tips that can help you to choose the right swimsuit and look slimmer.
1. Identify which area of your body you want to minimize
Evaluate which area of your body, you want to slim down. For example, the waist, tummy, bust, backside or thigh. When you shop for swimsuit, check with the retailer or the product shape solutions, to find one that fulfills your requirements. Here are some guides which you can follow:
a. Wide waist body
A wide waist body will make you look plump and overweight. Choosing a swimsuit with waist shirring will be great to solve this problem. The waist shirring will helps to slim your waist and tummy. When your waist is narrower, attention will be draw upward toward the upper body from bust line upward. If the swimsuit has vertical stripes at the side, it will create long and lean sides giving you a slimmer look.
b. Full bust and small hip body
When you have full bust and small hip body, your bust line practically overshadows your body making you look top heavy. Choosing a swimsuit with princess seams and a high leg cut would be great to solve this problem. Usually such swimsuit has a under wire bra which will give you the necessary support. The high leg cut would create an elongated lower body look which complements to make your body look slimmer. A well designed color that focus below the bust will help to flatter a small waist or above the bust will draw attention upward to the neck and face which will give a more balance body look.
c. Full hip and small bust body
This problem is just the opposite of above (b). Your lower body overshadows your figure giving your body a pearl shape look or a heavy bottom look. Choosing a swimsuit that has light or bright color or details that focus at the bust line and waist will draw attention upward. Ensure that the color from the waist down is dark to give a slimmer hip look. Swimsuits with halter styles and boat necks will be great to give a broader shoulder look thus balancing you pearl body shape.
2. Try out the swimsuits
Identify about three or four swimsuits with various shape solutions and try them out in the fitting rooms. If you are in between two sizes that fit you, select the bigger size one. But what is most important is that you must feel comfortable when wearing it.
