Singer Dal Hothi flew to Mumbai to shoot the video for "Promise Me," recorded under the name Dilvog. But he didn't realize that the girl won the costarring role was Slumdog Millionaire star Freida Pinto until someone recently pointed it out to him.

Several women auditioned for the role of Hothi's "lover" in the video for "I Promise You," with Freida Pinto making the final cut. During a break in filming, she told Hothi of a movie she was making called Slumdog Millionaire. She invited him to the set but Hothi, who had music-related work on his mind, declined the offer.
"Too bad," he said this week, "because it would have been an awesome experience."
Hothi had no idea that the film, starring Pinto as the orphan girl lead, would eventually be nominated for a best-picture Academy Award.
