I should mail him back and remind him to tuck his period inside the parentheses.
I would.

It'll be in the morning, 7:30 AM should be fine.
You'd be lucky to get one at that time! The queue will be HUGE. I'm getting there at 3.30am. The iPad launch the first person there was there at 12am.

1- Is it worth doing an SSD optibay upgrade? I figure it will cost me around 350 bucks, which is a almost a 3rd of an Air. Thoughts?
I did this recently on my 17" and it was totally worth it. I used OWC Data Doubler and 256Gb Corsair SSD from my old laptop. For a 115Gb SSD and Mounting kit - $229 + 75.

It could, but it doesn't have that much space. I would hook it up to an external raid array.
I would recommend a Drobo S. (http://www.drobo.com/products/drobo-s.php)
It is not cheep, but I have 9 gigs of drives in it, 6 available. Great product, keeps your data safe, it's fast, and easily expandable.

OK, so to recap:
I can leave my SSD as is (that is, I can continue to choose to boot from that and have it run Snow Leopard).
I can installed Lion on the Hard Disk and choose to boot from that if I want.
Question: If my home folder is stored on the Hard Disk for when I run Snow Leopard with the SSD, how do I prevent home folder complications when I install Lion on the Hard Disk? Don't want it to mess up the snow leopard experience.

Are you hosting Apache on port 8080? You could just set up a virtual server at *.:80 and any requests to there could be re-directed to the virtual server on *.:8080.
Otherwise I can't think of a way to handle it from something other than the receiving application layer.

How long is a piece of string?
The Mini with adequate RAM will run all of those programs and is good value for the money if you already have a good monitor.
Is it going to be fast enough for your particular working environment? We can't tell.

This is gonna be a long shot, I know. I had some family thing come up at the last minute (kinda out of my control). I can get Leopard at my college's bookstore but, not the shirt. Is there any chance that anyone has an extra XL shirt?

Thought the video was pretty terrific even if I hadn't known it was shot on an iPhone. I've seen people with camera gear costing 10 or more times as much that couldn't touch the work you did.
Looking forward to seeing more.

Didn't see this posted yet, I would hate to be on the Comair plane as it gets whipped around. The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the collision of an Airbus A-380 and a smaller plane at John F. Kennedy International Airport.
Air France Flight 7, bound for Paris, was taxiing on a runway Monday night when its left wingtip struck the tail of Comair Flight 6293, which had just landed from Boston and was taxiing to its gate at Kennedy, one of the nation's busiest airports.
There were no injuries.
Both planes were being inspected Tuesday. Pilots and crew will also be interviewed.
Passenger Lawrence Grotts was on board the Air France plane.
"It really felt just like a speedbump or like hitting a pothole -- a jolt -- but it didn't feel right ... like that shouldn't be happening," he said.
The NTSB said it has requested the flight recorders and will review air traffic control tapes and what is known as ground radar data.
The double-deck Airbus A-380 had 495 passengers and 25 crew members on board, Air France said in a statement. The Comair CRJ 700 Regional Jet had 62 passengers and four crew members.
"This incident only caused material damage to the two aircraft," Air France said. The airline said it is assisting the NTSB.
Maxine Lubner, chair of the aviation department at Vaughn College, said communication could have been a problem.
"When the plane, the A-380, was on the taxiway, Alpha, it's under FAA control," she said. "The regional jet may have already been switched to the company's frequency."
Lubner said the Air France pilots should have been able to see the smaller aircraft.

If you are into unrestricted conrol then your best bet is Unix/Linux - and OS X is a member of that family.
Windows will probably be able to run on the upcoming Intel-based Macs, although if you are planning on buying a Mac just to run Windows on it I think you need to re-examine your priorities - you'd be much better of building yourself a PC.
