Actually the command exists currently. Click on your desktop or select the finder then hit 'option-apple-h'. This will hide everything but the finder. You can actually use this in any program to hide everything except your front most program.
Unfortunately you have to go to the application or finder menu and choose show all at the bottom to bring them all back if you want to. There isn't a shortcut for that.

Can we some pics of white iPhones with cases on? I feel like most case colors would clash too much with the white color of the phone. Can people post pics of their new white phones with cases on?
off hand i'm going to say, what's the point of getting a white iphone if you're going to put a case on it?
all though, a black bumper on a white phone looks pretty cool.

Clearly they could have saved the money they put into that trailer (it couldn't have been done cheap) and put it into, say, getting actual factual information?

I have this mouse and it is the absoltue best mouse I have ever owned or tried. Very smooth, use on a pad, off a pad, use it from 20 ft away on a hardwood floor (I have tried it!!)
It has a rechargeable battery that lasts forever, is EXTREMELY comfortable in your hand and has a multitude of controls at your fingertips. (scroll wheel up and down as well as left and right, a button that works like the command+tab button feature, etc. All are programable via a system preference. Best of all, it was recognized as soon as I plugged it in.
Can't say enough about it, well worth the $79.
Me Too! Me Too! I've got one and it's super. Was using a Kensington Track pad but just couldn't get it's 4 buttons working correctly. Went back to the Apple "hockey puck" and boy was it painfull. Finally a mouse with lft/rt buttons; scroll wheel; and more. Feels great in the hand, BTW I'm right handed so can't comment bout lefties. LED's for battery are a very nice touch. Holds a charge for a long time. This mouse is soooooo coool. The only way they could make it better would be if it were BT. I wish, my G5 has BT. Considered the Logitech MX 900 but it doesn't specifically say that it supports OSX. MX 1000 does support OSX. Great mouse. The only other mouse I'm so enthusiastic about is the BenQ M310. It's a laptop mouse and I got it for my wife's iBook. Boy, this is another "slick" mouse. Highly recommend if you've got a laptop that doesn't have BT. If you've got a laptop and it has BT you might want to look at the RadTech BT 500. Cheers

Export to Quicktime presentation, install Quicktime on PCs.
edit: kayjprod beat me to it.
This method has a lot of drawbacks.
First, it generates huge files. All transitions are movies rather than a slide that is just rotated by a graphics program.
Second, You loose a lot of control over the presentation. Flipping back and forth between slides, cursor control, animation timing, etc.
Third, The final movie never looks as good for some reason. Maybe it is just a matter of changing parameters somewhere but my files are huge and my transitions, slides, fonts, etc. don't look as high res or clear.
I agree that Keynote needs a freely distributable player like PowerPoint has. This would allow you to send the condensed slide-only file to the OS X or Windows user and he or she would have the same control and effects over the presentation as in Keynote. QT just isn't the same as the PowerPoint freely distributed player on Windows.

Was just wondering if that means it is already featured-locked.
As it is just a Developer Preview (version 2), it is far too early to tell.

I've got the iWalk videos if anyone wants them or wants to host them.
Also just added the leaked Quicksilver pictures, if anyone has any more information on where they came from feel free to edit the page.
I'd really like to see the fake image of the first PowerMac G5. Does anyone remember that one? it looked like it had been cut out of a newspaper and appeared to be a monstrous metallic mesh thing. It wasn't too far off.

Glad to see they are still hardworking on fixing and improving "not-new" products.
I'm not sure I understand you. The 13" MacBook Pro affected by this update is the latest model. I certainly would call it new.

Quick update. I've made some more progress. I thought I had not been able to get the phone into DFU mode. I tried it a few more times (the steps of how to get it into DFU mode) and finally its restoring. My phone is staying on with the Plug into iTunes screen. will update once it is done restoring and installing the firmware.
edit: blevins just to be safe I took the sim out and made sure it was seated properly. thank you for the reply
edit2: it says the iPhone "iPhone" could not be restored. An unkown error occurred (1604)

Good luck to you. I had the exact same machine, down to the exact hardware specs. I had a heck of a tough time selling it. In fact I regret selling it now.

What exactly does the apple video adaptor adapt? I've been looking for something to connect my macbook to an external monitor.
Dave
It can be used with an iBook or Powerbook.... I don't think it will work for a MB.

My wife has downloaded a couple of movies via itunes but for the life of me I have burned through dvd after dvd and cant get them to work. He keeps telling me I have a data error when I pop the DVD into one of our players.
What am I doing wrong?
You can't just burn movies downloaded from iTunes to DVD and have it work in your DVD player. Watch them on your computer or stream them to an Apple TV.

I just wish Apple would add DNG 5.4 support. There's native RAW support for the Panasonic micro four thirds cameras with the advanced correction features, so presumably the foundation for DNG 5 (which is different from older DNG versions because of those same features) is in place.
Thing is, since Adobe's DNG converter is free, once Apple adds support for the latest version they get automatic support for pretty much EVERYTHING, since Adobe is pretty on top of adding new cameras to the DNG converter. It is, admittedly, an additional step to convert from native RAW to DNG, but DNG is at least standardized, so I don't need to worry about support for my specific camera down the line. The files are also a little smaller, as a bonus.
Now, why cameras aren't writing DNGs (or some currently non-existent universal RAW format) natively is another question. It's ridiculous that there isn't a standardized solution for this problem already.
