Not many people know the creative potential of bikini waxing. Some people just hear the words ‘bikini wax’ and they are too blinded by the pain to think about anything else, let alone creativity. But while it is painful to get a bikini wax, many people would tell you that the pain is worth it! And if you think that you’d be confined to the same bikini wax as everyone else, then it’s time to think again. Just like a great haircut, there are bikini wax styles that suit many personalities and you always have the option to choose which one is right for you.

Technically speaking, there are generally 3 types of bikini wax styles;

The first style of bikini wax is the Regular Bikini Wax. This is a waxing style where hair is removed from outside the panty line, usually an inch to an inch and a half going inward. As the name suggests, it’s simply removing hair from along the bikini line or area.

The second type of bikini wax, and possibly the most popular style, is the Brazilian Bikini Wax. This style of bikini wax leaves a vertical stripe in front, two to three inches in width. However hair is not removed from the labia, but hair is removed from the butt.

The third type of bikini wax is the Playboy Bikini Wax, named after the Playboy girls who are often seen ‘wearing’ this style. All hair is removed from the labia and all hair is removed from the butt.

Inclusive of the 3 major styles mentioned above, two more can be added, and strangely enough they are polar opposites.

The Full Bikini Wax, as the name suggests, is a type of bikini wax where all hair is removed from absolutely everywhere on the lower region of the body. This is also known as the ‘Bald Eagle’.

And the final style of bikini waxing is no waxing at all. Good old O’ natural. This is a great option for people with a very low threshold for pain, especially since there are other methods of grooming one’s self.

But whatever style of bikini wax you choose, just remember that every style of wax mentioned above can be altered or modified with dyes and shapes or any creative idea that you can think of, simply because you can be waxed anyway you want.
