Any avid female exerciser may be tempted to forgo purchasing a sports bar or other piece of women's sports underwear in lieu of what they already have. The question that may come to mind is, "What's the difference?". Well the answer is actually quite a lot, and if you aren't properly outfitted in a sports bra or women's sports underwear that is specifically designed to be worn while working out you could be doing some damage as well as inflicting some irritation to yourself in the way of chaffing.
Sports bras in particular are created to keep you more contained than a regular bra. Ones such as the Casall Sports Bra work with not only straps that are thicker but ones that are also placed in the best locations to maximize support. Especially if you are a bit more well endowed you will want a bra such as the Pure Lime Compression Bra because while you are vigorously moving about it will work extra hard to keep you from bouncing around. There is also more than a comfort issue here, as if you are simply wearing a regular bra while working out you won't be offered enough support
and that will leave gravity to take its toll. In fact, the skin and connective tissue around the chest area is not only delicate but more disposed to stretching and sagging if given too much movement. This means that as we age and our skin loses its ability to snap back into place, if you are working out with a regular bra instead of a sports bra your breasts will then start to gravitate a bit lower, and that's not something we want!
Along with the need for sports bras that give you adequate support to ensure that you can protect your chest, women's sports underwear and sports bras are also made out of complex fibres and materials that are better at wicking away sweat and reducing friction. This helps to keep you not only cooler but drier too.
Additionally, this also means that you will not be met with any chaffing that could occur from rubbing while you are working out. Sports underwear such as the Pure Lime Seamless Pants are great in that they are not only made to keep you comfortable and wick away sweat but they won't leave any unsightly panty lines in your gym clothes either! The truth is, high quality sports undergarments are important and by opting for a standard bra instead of a sports bra or regular cotton panties instead of a women's sports underwear you could be left bouncing, sagging, and chaffing. And that my friend is not all that appealing!
