Britney Spears new song is about having a threesome.

The 'Womanizer' singer - who is known for wearing revealing, skin-flashing outfits on stage - has penned a track called '3' which suggests she likes being intimate with two lovers at the same time.

On the track, Britney sings: "Three is a charm / Two is not the same / I don't see the harm / So are you game?"

Sallu-Aamir join hands against SRK

The Khans are all set to take their battle to a new level this season. According to Mumbai Mirror Salman Khan has roped in his new best friend Aamir Khan to walk for his line at the Couture Week. To be held in Mumbai, Salman is showcasing his foundation Being Human at the high profile event.

Khan already has Katrina Kaif walking for him, but Salman doesn't believe in keeping it small. Mumbai Mirror reports that Salman has personally requested the usually shy Aamir to walk for a noble cause. Ever since the release of Ghajini Salman has successfully broken the ice with Aamir.

Ironically Aamir and Salman had quite an uncomfortable working relationship during the making of Andaz Apna Apna.

Aamir's entry is Salman's counter attack to Shah Rukh Khan – who will reportedly walk at the same event along with wife Gauri for director Karan Johar. Both SRK and Salman are pitching for the show finale and the paper says that a final decision is yet to be taken.

Today, the Republican National Committee (RNC) released a statement from Chairman Michael Steele announcing the release of a new video in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. However, though the press release emphasizes the Republican Party’s “commitment to the Hispanic community,” apparently that commitment does not include hiring a qualified Spanish translator. The Spanish translation of Steele’s statement is riddled with embarrassing typos and errors. Even Yahoo’s automatic online translator, Babel Fish, produces better results.

The substance of the accompanying video isn’t much better. Its main focus is on highlighting the accomplishments of conservative Latinos and completely ignores renowned Latino leaders like civil rights activists César Chávez and Dolores Huerta, and completely sidesteps the recent confirmation of Puerto Rican Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor.

Thoughts on reconciliation

If you keep your eyes on American politics, you've probably heard the word "reconciliation" used a lot in the last couple of months, and you will again. If you're like me, you have only a vague understanding, really, of what it means in this context.

This may help.

it takes 60 votes to pass anything controversial in the Senate, due to the threat of a filibuster. But in 1974, in an effort to cut the nation's soaring deficits, Congress passed a law creating a procedure that could NOT be filibustered and would only need a simple majority of 51 votes to pass.

Without a filibuster-proof procedure, lawmakers reasoned, the Senate would face difficulty passing bills that would make cuts in Medicare and Medicaid -- popular programs which take up a significant portion of government spending. In an "explanation" of why reconciliation is needed, the Senate Budget Committee wrote in 1998:

These changes are considered difficult because the very nature of the programs involved often necessitates changing tax rates or placing restrictions on very popular social programs in order to achieve budgetary savings.

While Republicans argue that the Democrats' health-care plan is as much as about social policy and big government, there is a fiscal component. Reconciliation has also been used in a similar ways by Republican leaders to restructure social programs like welfare reform.

You remember Lori Drew. She's the grown-up woman who in frontier times would probably have been run out of town, and definitely will burn in hell, for bullying a little girl into commiting suicide.

Her conviction was overturned a couple of months ago, but now:

Federal prosecutors have filed a notice of appeal in the Lori Drew cyberbullying case, which means they may appeal a judge's ruling in July to throw out her case after a jury convicted her of three misdemeanor counts.

How Can I Make My Eyes Look Bigger?

Ever look at those pictures of celebrities before makeup and after? My favorite celebrity isGwyneth Paltrow and I was thrilled one day to see her without makeup. Her eyes just disappeared. Yet in photos, she has luminous eyes. So what's the secret?

There are actually several. To get huge eyes try these tricks:

Always curl lashes before applying mascara. You can actually curl lashes AFTER mascara is applied, as long as your mascara is dried (a good tip to know if you want to curl your lashes later in the day without removing your mascara).

Individual false lashes are exotic, gorgeous and can look natural if applied correctly. Large cities offer "lash bars" in the hottest department stores. (Henri Bendel, Bergdorfs and more, for example) but I expect the counters at most department stores will have experts in false lashes. Ask at yours.

4For a doe-eyed, seductive look, makeup artist try lining your lower lids with a creamy white eye pencil. White liner may sound odd, but it really opens up the eye. You can also try putting it on the inside corner of both your upper and your lower lids.

Another way to open up eyes is to skip the white eyeliner and opt instead for a platinum highlighter. Dot along the browbone, then blend in. Apply highlighter at the inner corners of your eyes. Follow with eye shadow.

Make sure your brows are manicured. Until you get your brows professionally waxed, tweezed or threaded, you won't realize how much they affect the rest of your face. Cleaning up your brow line of stray hairs, adding a slight arch and filling in sparse spots are key to making eyes look much larger.

I find once you get a professional brow job, you can do it yourself for a few months using the pro job as a "map" of where to tweeze. To keep brows in place, try a clear eyebrow gel like Maybelline Great Lash Clear Mascara or just spritz a bit of hairspray onto an old toothbrush and brush brows in perfect place.

The Rapper Singer 50 Cent Goes Home

50 Cent returned to his old New York neighborhood on Saturday (26Sep09) to perform a concert for his hometown fans.

Thousands packed into a school playground in Jamaica, Queens for a community festival that boasted Fiddy as its headlining act.

The festival was cancelled back in August (09) because local authorities were concerned about security arrangements.

And there was a strong police presence on Saturday, with armed cops lined up on rooftops surrounding the event.

Nelly Furtado's Fame Breakdown

Nelly Furtado had a breakdown when she first became famous.

The 'Maneater' singer admits she initially struggled to cope with the pressures of fame and would spend a great deal of time alone, even though it seemed she was enjoying her life.

She said: "Fame took me by surprise and I ended up having a breakdown. It was too much too soon. After two years of intense touring and partying I'd spend hours alone in my LA home, just staring at the floor. I felt like a fraud, believing that people liked me for my image and not my music."

There are times when I long to be a hermit living in a cottage. I often crave that sort of solitude. But having a husband and a daughter tends to get in the way of that.

Lata Mangeshkar (born September 28, 1929) is a singer from India. She is one of the best-known playback singers in the Hindi film industry.[1][2] Mangeshkar's career started in 1942 and has spanned over six and a half decades. She sang in over a thousand Bollywood movies and has sung songs in over twenty regional Indian languages, but primarily in Hindi. She is the elder sister of the equally accomplished singer Asha Bhosle and lesser-known singers, brother Hridayanath Mangeshkar and sisters Usha Mangeshkar and Meena Mangeshkar. Lata is the second vocalist ever to have received the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian honour.[3]

Mangeshkar was featured in the Guiness Book of World Records from 1974 to 1991 for having made the most recordings in the world. The claim was that she had recorded no less than 25,000 solo, duet, and chorus-backed songs in 20 Indian languages between 1948 to 1974 (30,000 songs between 1948 and 1987, according to the 1987 edition). Over the years, while several sources have supported this claim, others have raised concerns over its veracity, claiming that this number was highly exaggerated and that Mangeshkar's sister, Asha Bhosle, had more song recordings than she had.

Lata Mangeshkar was born in a Maharashtrian family in Sikh Mohalla, Indore, in the State of Madhya Pradesh. Her father, Pandit Deenanath Mangeshkar who belonged to a Konkani speaking Kalavant Family from Goa, was a classical singer and theater actor. Her mother Shudhhamati, who was from Thalner, was Deenanath's second wife. The family's last name used to be Hardikar; Deenanath changed it to Mangeshkar in order to identify his family with his native town, Mangeshi in Goa. Lata was named "Hridaya" at her birth. Her parents later renamed her Lata after a female character, Latika, in one of her father's plays, BhaawBandhan.[4] Lata is the eldest child of her parents. Asha, Hridayanath, Usha, and Meena are her siblings in sequence.

Lata took her first music lessons from her father. At the age of five, she started to work as an actress in her father's musical plays (sangeet naatak in Marathi). Her father's recitals and lessons left a strong impression on her, as did the songs of K.L. Saigal, who was her favorite singer and idol. Her formal education was limited to one day in the school. On the first day in the school, she started teaching songs to other children. When the teacher stopped her, she was so angry that she stopped going to the school.[4] Other sources cite that she left school because they would not allow her to bring Asha with her, as she would often bring her younger sister with her.

Lata Mangeshkar has won several awards and honors, including Padma Bhushan (1969), Padma Vibhushan (1999), Dada Saheb Phalke Award (1989), NTR National Award (1999), Bharat Ratna (2001), three National Film Awards, and 12 Bengal Film Journalists' Association Awards. She has also won four Filmfare Best Female Playback Awards. In 1969, she made the unusual gesture of giving up the Filmfare Best Female Playback Award, in order to promote fresh talent. She was later awarded Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award in 1993.

In 1984, the State Government of Madhya Pradesh instituted the Lata Mangeshkar Award in honor of Lata Mangeshkar. The State Government of Maharashtra also instituted a Lata Mangeshkar Award in 1992.

In 1974, The Guinness Book of Records listed Lata Mangeshkar as the most recorded artist in the history, stating that she had reportedly recorded "not less than 25,000 solo, duet and chorus backed songs in 20 Indian languages" between 1948 and 1974. Her record was contested by Mohammed Rafi, who was claimed to have sung around 28,000 songs.[18][19] After Rafi's death, in its 1984 edition, the Guinness Book of World Records stated Lata Mangeshkar's name for the "Most Recordings", but also stated Rafi's claim. The later editions of Guinness Book stated that Lata Mangeshkar had sung no fewer than 30,000 songs between 1948 and 1987.[20]

Although the entry has not been printed in Guinness editions since 1991, reputable sources claim that she has recorded thousands of songs, with estimates ranging up to figures as large as 50,000.[21][22] However, even the earliest Guinness claim of 25,000 songs (between 1948-1974) was claimed to be exaggerated by other sources, who stated that the number of songs sung by Lata Mangeshkar in Hindustani (Hindi-Urdu films till 1991 was found to be 5250.[23] Mangeshkar herself stated that she does not keep a record of the number of songs recorded by her, and that she did not know from where Guinness Book editors got their information.[24]
